Now in its thirteenth year, One Nation is a unique musical and cultural partnership between The Phoenix Symphony and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. This program enhances the fundamental music programs of the Community’s elementary and high schools and builds relationships between Symphony musicians and students. Symphony musicians provide private and group music lessons to students during the school day; teach after school music classes; and provide recital coaching to prepare students for public performances. Students, their families, and school faculty are also given free tickets to attend concerts at Symphony Hall, which builds a broader sense of community and affords students the opportunity to see their instructors in a different light as professional musicians. The Phoenix Symphony wishes to thank the Salt River Community Children's Foundation, Fry's Food Stores, and Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community for their support of One Nation.
