9/18-19: ‘Opening Night: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9’

Maestro Tito Muñoz kicks off his second season with the Phoenix Symphony with this crowd-pleasing choral masterpiece, famed for the “Ode to Joy.” Also on the program: “American Symphony,” a 2011 work by Los Angeles-based composer Adam Schoenberg.

9/27: ‘Super Heroes’
